Happy Halloween!

When we were little, Mom would go all out every Halloween and make us elaborate costumes. I remember going to Hancock fabric and pouring over the pattern books trying so hard to decide what I really wanted to be that year. Our costumes weren't just slap it together and make it work sort of costumes, no, they were elaborate. Carley once had a Glinda the good witch dress made of pink satin, complete with glittery, sequined appliques, and a 1 ft tall crown with beading along the top. It was amazing. Courtney, while in her cowgirl phase, had a gown that looked like it was from the antebellum south, purple with white lacing. One of my favorite costumes was a pumpkin. I think every single one of us wore it one year or another. This year,  little Levi has been OBSESSED with pumpkins, and has told his mom he wants to be a pumpkin man for Halloween. We managed to unearth the original pumpkin costume, and he giggled and laughed when he saw it. After a little convincing, he tried it on. He's going to be the cutest little pumpkin on the beach this year!
